Stirring Words & Music Highlight Concert for Nonprofit Village

On Sunday, October 9, 2011, Potomac United Methodist Church hosted a concert titled, “Faiths in Action” to benefit the Nonprofit Village. Guest speakers Connie Morella and Anna Hargrave gave insightful and inspirational addresses. The Reverend Dr. Ann Laprade welcomed guests and was followed by an invocation from Rabbi Stuart Weinblatt of Congregation B’Nai Tzedek. The honored guests were introduced by Montgomery County Councilmember Phil Andrews.

To celebrate reaching the Village’s goal of full capacity , the Village hosted a “taste success” ceremony at the Montgomery County Council on May 24, 2011. The County Council has assisted the center with funding support, and the organization’s board of directors expressed its gratitude by presenting the Council with an array of cupcakes from celebrated Georgetown Cupcakes.
