Cupcake Ceremony at the County Council

Subhead:
Celebration of a fully leased Nonprofit Village

To celebrate reaching the Village’s goal of full capacity , the Village hosted a “taste success” ceremony at the Montgomery County Council on May 24, 2011. The County Council has assisted the center with funding support, and the organization’s board of directors expressed its gratitude by presenting the Council with an array of cupcakes from celebrated Georgetown Cupcakes.

“We are so pleased to announce that The Nonprofit Village is now fully leased with 16 nonprofit tenants,” said Jeffrey Slavin, board chair. “It is our goal to nurture the growth of startup nonprofit groups in Montgomery County, assisting them with centralized services that would otherwise be beyond their reach. This is the first such program in Montgomery County, but very likely, not the last.”
