Kim Jones, Executive Director. Kim Jones was appointed Executive Director of the Nonprofit Village in May 2012 and has developed critical capacity building programs, expanded shared services, reduced debt and increased earned income, while creating a collaborative environment for nonprofit tenants. She has more than 20 years of experience in national and international nonprofit program development with an emphasis on capacity building, cross-cultural communication, and strategic alliances. Kim has served on the Board of Directors of the Nonprofit Village and in numerous volunteer leadership positions throughout Montgomery County. Kim holds a B.A. degree in Political Science from Spelman College, earned the CAE in 2002 and is a Certified Proposal Writer. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc and is a 2004 graduate of Leadership Montgomery.
Tom Colling, Programs Manager. Tom Colling joined the Nonprofit Village in 2014 to develop and manage programs for the organization’s tenants and the wider nonprofit community; to support their growth, ensure compliance and encourage best practices. Tom previously worked as a researcher on internationalization and quality assurance policy in higher education. Prior to that, he worked in London on strengthening organizations’ governance structures.
Tom has a BA in Philosophy from the University of Warwick and an MA in Legal and Political Theory from University College London. He is also a PRINCE2 certified project manager and a member of the Project Management Institute.
Lisette Ortiz, Community Engagement Coordinator.
Lisette joined the Nonprofit Village in August 2016 to develop and implement an integrated communications strategy that will encourage tenant and stakeholder engagement, create value, build the brand, and drive revenue. She has implemented this using digital communication, event planning, print advertising such as flyers, website development, and other community activities. Lisette is fluent in English and Spanish and has experience working with print production, digital communication, event planning, photography, design, and more. She previously worked as an Account Coordinator at an Advertising Agency in Miami and as a Marketing Project Leader with a nonprofit organization. Lisette has a BS in Advertising from the University of Florida and is a registered member with Advertising Age and American Advertising Federation.
